About SFDC

Our Legacy of Connection.
Founded in 1935, SFDC is San Francisco’s only Deaf club. Led by our board and trustees, we work to support and bring together Deaf members in the Bay Area.

SFDC is always looking for passionate members, volunteers, and ASL interpreters to support our monthly events and community efforts. Contact us to make a difference.

SFDC’s historic building at 530 Valencia Street wasn’t just a meeting place—it became a cultural icon.

Believe it or not, in the 1970s, SFDC hosted punk rock shows featuring bands like the Dead Kennedys and Tuxedomoon!

Though the building was sold in 2002, SFDC’s legacy lives on. Check out the archive on Found SF here and the Wikipedia article here.
